We’ve waited a while for this weather folks….beach camps have been enjoying unbelievable cool breezy mornings and the most gorgeous sunrises.

There’s a lot going on this summer at Pulse – at the studio – on the beach and out and about.

FitKids Camps at Second BeachBring the kids to the beach to burn off some energy! Gena got’s all the fun stuff your kids love to do – make sure to bring a towel and a bathing suit – the kids will do it all
Sessions will be Tues/Thurs 9am to 10:15am June 21st to July 7th – a 10 week session starting July 26th will follow.
ClassesThere’s more on the schedule than ever! New classes, new faces. Here’s the latest:
New Classes….

Triple Threat will combine the BIG Plyometric box drills, trampoline routines & bosu core intervals... 3 max cardio/conditioning tools -- Trampolines, Plyometric Boxes & Bosus -- I'll make it my goal to keep your heart rate up the entire time mixing intervals or 20 minute blocks of the three.... yikes... ! Weds 8:15am and Sundays at 8am with Jacki
Athlekinetix Muscle confusion is constant from class to class because no class is ever the same. This is a plateau busting workout. Incorporate core stability training, flexibility, and balance throughout each class. Unlike Pilates and yoga, however, the heart rate remains elevated the entire hour. Actively engage core muscles wth specific attention to balance and stabilizer muscles that are most often neglected during standard dumbbell resistance training. The entire body is engaged and lots of exercise equipment is used in every class. All levels of fitness can participate. Thursdays at 9:30am and Saturdays at 8am with Kathy

We know a lot of you run these races – so please take advantage of this great deal! And thank Brewer the next time you see him, he’s being run all over the place at the 5:30am beach camp.

ParkingNever a fun thing to talk about…we’re heading into parking nightmare season in Newport. We cannot use the spaces in front of our building at all, so please do not park in any of the spaces by the hardware store, Hooley’s, Audrain building or Katrina’s. We have access to the stop and shop lot during the week but on the weekends there is a parking lot attendant and they will move you out if you head to the studio. There is usually not a problem before 8am but after that you’ll have to find parking on Bellevue or the Bellevue Parking lot. It hasn’t been an issue so far but in July it probably will get hard to find spots so make sure to get to the studio early – you can run while you wait for your class or camp to start.

Advocare Challenge – 24 daysJacki and I are the biggest skeptics around- we don’t promote, take or do anything that smells of “packaged” diet or fad diets. BUT what we have seen with the Advocare program is AMAZING results. The 15 people that are currently finishing up this program have lost significant amounts of weight.
We can feel good using this product as one of our training tools because it MAKES SENSE. There’s no starving yourself, you’ll feel 100% better and you’ll finally see the weight loss that you’ve been trying so hard to get on the scale.
